Kuwait Times and Kuwait News inspire future journalists from Arkan Al Kuwait Summer Camp

Students from Arkan Al Kuwait Real Estate's summer camp visited Kuwait Times and Kuwait News on Monday for a behind-the-scenes look at how news and social media content are produced. The visit introduced students to the history of Kuwait Times, the first English-language daily newspaper in the Arabian Gulf, founded in 1961. They also learned how different departments work together to keep Kuwait Times readers updated around the clock. The students began their visit at the social media studio, where Content Creator Dhoha Alessa and Head of Visual Design Omar Al-Nakib explained how video content is filmed and produced.

At the editorial department, students learned how reporters, editors and page designers collaborate to publish news stories each day, both online and in print. The tour also included a visit to the printing press, where students learned how thousands of Kuwait Times copies are produced daily. Students explored the newspaper's archives with archivist Youssef Abu-Ghazaleh, who showcased the newspapers' old editions, giving the students a glimpse into how Kuwait Times has evolved over more than six decades.
