SalamAir, Oman's low-cost airline, has appointed Eng Yaqoob bin Saif bin Hamoud Al Kiyumi as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2026.
The appointment marks a new chapter in SalamAir's journey as the airline continues to build on its achievements and advance its strategic priorities, with a focus on sustainable growth, operational excellence, enhanced customer experience, and strengthening its role within Oman's aviation sector, said a statement.
The Board of Directors of SalamAir extended its appreciation to Adrian Hamilton-Manns for his leadership, dedication, and valuable contributions during his tenure as Chief Executive Officer.
The board welcomed Eng Al Kiyumi and said it looked forward to working with him as he leads SalamAir into its next phase of development.
Building on the strong foundations and achievements of the airline, his leadership will support SalamAir's continued growth and its commitment to providing affordable and accessible air travel, while strengthening connectivity between Oman and the world, it said.
SalamAir remains committed to its long-term vision and to contributing to the development of Oman's aviation and tourism sectors in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, the statement added.
