Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa's first and largest budget carrier operator, today announced the launch of its new daily non-stop service between Sharjah and Frankfurt, strengthening air connectivity between the UAE and Germany.

This route makes the airline's second destination in the country after Munich.

Starting December 15, 2026, the new daily service will connect Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) and Frankfurt Airport (FRA) further expanding Air Arabia's growing European network while offering customers convenient and affordable travel to one of Germany's leading commercial, financial and tourism hubs, the airline said.

The new route will be operated by Air Arabia's Airbus A320neo, offering customers a modern and comfortable cabin experience while delivering greater operational efficiency and improved fuel performance.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer, Air Arabia, said: "Frankfurt marks another important milestone in Air Arabia's continued expansion across Europe and further enhances connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and Germany. As our second destination in Germany, the new route reflects the growing importance of the German market within our network and the strong demand we continue to see for travel between our two countries."

He added: "Through our new daily non-stop service, we are providing our customers with greater choice, convenience and affordable connectivity, while supporting tourism, trade, and economic ties our two countries. We look forward to welcoming our customers onboard."

Fraport COO Dietmar Focke said: "By offering daily flights between Frankfurt and Sharjah, Air Arabia is creating an important new connection between the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region and the United Arab Emirates. The new destination ideally complements Frankfurt Airport's existing network of services to the Gulf region. For passengers, the new service opens up additional travel opportunities and provides access to Air Arabia's extensive route network. We extend a warm welcome to Air Arabia and look forward to a successful partnership."

The carrier continues to expand its European network from Sharjah, connecting its customers to key destinations including Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The new Frankfurt service will further strengthen these connections, offering travelers from Germany convenient direct access to Sharjah and the wider UAE, as well as onward connectivity across Air Arabia's expanding network.

Air Arabia operates a modern fleet comprising entirely Airbus A320 and A321 family aircraft, offering passengers a reliable and comfortable travel experience.
