Stock Beta
Stock Beta is a measure of the fluctuations of a stock and how its price is influenced by changes in the stock market. A beta of 1 indicates that the stock's price will move with the market and a beta of less than 1 means that the stock will be less volatile than the market, while a beta of greater than 1 indicates that the stock's price will be more volatile than the market. High-beta stocks are supposed to be riskier but offer a potential for higher returns, whereas low-beta stocks pose less risk but also indicate lower returns.
