Zain Kuwait has announced a strategic collaboration with Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, to enhance the operations, resilience, and performance of its critical facilities and infrastructure, further strengthening the foundations that support Zain's digital services, business continuity, and future sustainable growth.

The announcement was made during the Schneider Electric Innovation Summit Middle East & Africa 2026 in Abu Dhabi, where the agreement was signed by Zain Kuwait Chief Technology Officer Daaij Aloud and Schneider Electric Gulf Cluster President Amel Chadli. Through this collaboration, Zain is leveraging Schneider Electric's specialized operational expertise to support the high availability and reliability of its critical facilities and infrastructure. The project is designed to reinforce business continuity through proactive operations, rapid response to critical events, and a structured approach to managing mission-critical environments.

The collaboration also focuses on improving asset reliability and performance, reducing operational risk, and strengthening infrastructure resilience. By optimizing the performance of critical facilities like datacenters and enhancing their operational efficiency, the project enables Zain to maintain its focus on its core business priorities, accelerate digital transformation, and continue delivering reliable digital services and experiences to customers on Kuwait's most awarded 5G network.

Commenting on the occasion, Daaij Aloud said: "Digital transformation can only move as fast as the infrastructure that supports it. As our networks, platforms, and services become more advanced, the resilience and intelligence of our critical facilities become increasingly strategic to our digital ambitions and business growth." He added: "Our collaboration with Schneider Electric strengthens this foundation by bringing together specialized operational expertise, proactive asset management, and a strong focus on reliability and business continuity. This will help us reduce operational risk, optimize the performance of our critical environments, and build the resilient infrastructure required to support the next generation of digital services, AI, and connectivity."

Aloud continued: "Our ambitions extend beyond operational excellence today. We are looking ahead to how AI-ready infrastructure, intelligent asset management, and more sustainable operating models can support Zain's long-term technology roadmap and future growth. Working with global technology leaders like Schneider Electric allows us to continually explore new approaches that make our infrastructure smarter, more efficient, more resilient, and future-ready."

On her part, Amel Chadli, President, Gulf Cluster at Schneider Electric, said: "Kuwait's digital economy needs infrastructure that is as intelligent as the services it powers. Schneider Electric brings deep operational expertise in critical facilities, together with digital tools that translate asset data into faster decisions with fewer disruptions. Working alongside Zain Kuwait, we are combining that expertise with our commitment to sustainable, AI-ready infrastructure to help build a more resilient digital backbone for the country."

On the sidelines of the summit, Zain Kuwait and Schneider Electric also explored opportunities to expand their collaboration across several strategic areas aligned with the evolving requirements of digital infrastructure. These included AI-ready data centers, sustainability and decarbonization, AI-enabled Asset Performance Management, and advanced Facilities Management and Operations Support. The discussions reflect a shared commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth, while exploring technologies and operating models that can further enhance the efficiency, intelligence, and resilience of Zain's infrastructure.

As demand for cloud services, artificial intelligence, advanced connectivity, and data-intensive digital applications continues to grow, critical infrastructure is becoming an increasingly important enabler of digital transformation. Zain continues to invest in technologies, partnerships, and operational capabilities that strengthen the foundations of its network and digital ecosystem while supporting greater efficiency and long-term sustainability.

The collaboration forms part of Zain Kuwait's broader approach to building future-ready technology infrastructure capable of supporting its evolving digital ambitions. By combining advanced connectivity with resilient facilities, intelligent operations, and sustainability-focused innovation, Zain aims to create a stronger technological foundation for the next phase of digital growth in Kuwait.
