Musandam Power Company SAOG was registered and incorporated as a closed joint stock company in the Sultanate of Oman on 18th November 2014. Subsequently, the Company was converted to a joint stock company (SAOG) and was listed on the Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) on 5th December 2019. The Company is engaged in the design, construction, ownership, financing, operation, and maintenance of a dual fuel power plant with natural gas as the primary fuel and diesel oil as the alternative fuel with a capacity of 120 Mega Watt (MW) located in Wilayat Bukha in the Musandam Governorate, Sultanate of Oman. The Company is selling the electrical energy generated to Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC. Before listing, the Company was a subsidiary of Oman Oil Facilities Development Company LLC which is owned by OQ SAOC, a closely held joint stock company incorporated in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company commenced commercial operations on 17th June 2017.
