OQ Gas Networks Co. (OQGN) was established in 2000 by the Royal Decree No. 78/2000 as Oman Gas Company (OGC). In 2023, it became OQGN. OQGN is a wholly-owned subsidiary of OQ Group, which is owned by the Oman Investment Authority (OIA). OQGN serves as the exclusive operator of Oman's gas transportation system. It plays a critical role as both a company and infrastructure provider for the Sultanate. OQGN manages a vast 4030 km pipeline network that connects gas producers with consumers across Oman. Over the last decade, OQGN has maintained an impressive track record, with 99.9% gas availability and an average recovery time of just 17 minutes. OQGN is committed to sustainability, aligning with Oman Vision 2040 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It aims to deliver cleaner, more sustainable energy while supporting local communities.
