National Pharmaceutical Industries Company (NPMI) is a public company, based in Muscat (Oman), and established in February 1996. NPMI is a subsidiary of Oman Investment Fund Holding Co. and is listed on the Muscat Securities Market since January 2005. The company specializes in the production of anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, antidepressant,and anti-diabetic medications, and also gastrointestinal drugs. It is among the first pharmaceutical formulations manufacturing plant in Sultanate of Oman. It offers lipid lowering, cardio vascular, anti-bacterial, anti-allergic, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, gastro intestinal, anti-diabetic, anti-depressant, and analgesic anti-pyretic products too. The company also operates worldwide in almost 12 countries and has a business base in the Gulf and Middle East counties for almost a decade. The company's facilities are spread over a 30,042.43 square meters plot of land, and includes a non-beta lactum plant for producing oral solids, liquids, drops, dry suspensions and sachets; a beta lactum plant, which engages in production of capsules and dry suspension; a research and development laboratory, and a quality control laboratory.
