Activities

Aseer Trading, Tourism, and Manufacturing Company is primarily engaged in carrying out agricultural, tourist and industrial projects, real estate activities, including ownership and distribution of land, as well as contracting services. It operates through its six branches in Madinah, Riyadh, Wadi Dawaser, Jeddah, Hail and Al Jouf. The company owns shares in Khaldi Electronics Factory Ltd., Al Maghrabi Medical Ltd., Al Maghrabi Medical Services, Middle East Optics Ltd., National Company for Tourism, Southern Cement Co.,Jazira Bank and National Packing Materials Company. Aseer is organized into three business units. Its investment unit focuses on investments in its subsidiary companies and other companies, in addition to investments in investment funds. Its manufacturing unit is focused on the preserved food industry, as well as manufacturing cartons and packaging materials. Its agricultural unit operates in the specialized management of agriculture, working in the trade of agricultural inputs, focusing on fertilizers, seeds and pesticides. Aseer started out first in 1975, in accordance to a Royal Decree as the first of its kind multi-purpose public joint company that was owned by different private investors and had a total capital of SR 50 million at that time. It formally started its operations in 1977, by trading and selling fertilizers and pesticides. To this day, Aseer has a large network of branches spread across the kingdom catering to the needs of farmers. In the same period of late 1970s, Aseer made substantial investments in the tourism and hotel industry as well. In 1991, Aseer entered into a major partnership with Dallah Al Baraka Group, in order to widen its investment portfolio,which then rose to SR 225 million. In 2005, Aseer formally converted into an investment holding company. The company's wholly-owned subsidiaries are Dallah for Industrial Investment Company, Halawani Brothers Company (Egypt), Khawatem Trading & Contracting Co. Ltd., Al Nasrah International Real Estate Development Co. Ltd., Al Ustool Arabia Real Estate Development Co. Ltd., Al Mawajed International Real Estate Development Co. Ltd., and Al Tilal Regional for Investment Company Ltd.
