Majan Glass Company SAOG, established in 1997, was created to meet the high demand for glass containers in Oman, the GCC, and internationally. The company serves the soft drink, food, and beverage sectors and is publicly listed on the Muscat Securities Market, with the Omani Ministry of Finance holding 75.3% of the shares.
Located in Sohar Industrial Estate, about 200 km from Muscat and Dubai, Majan Glass boasts advanced manufacturing facilities capable of producing 250 MT of glass per day. They operate two furnaces and five production lines to create glass containers ranging from 88ml to 1000ml in various sizes and colors.
The plant became operational in March 1997 at an initial cost of RO 11.01 million (approximately USD 28.4 million). Majan Glass produces empty glass containers and jars for beverages and food products, catering to domestic and international markets, including the Middle East and the Far East.
In 2009, Majan Glass achieved a sales turnover of 63,832 MT and gross revenue of RO 10.634 million. They offer value-added features like online labeling, ACL (Applied Ceramic Labeling) printing, and PVC shrinkable label sleeving facilities, ensuring top-quality products through stringent quality checks.
Majan Glass is an approved supplier to Pepsi Cola International and Coca-Cola International, and has earned ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 22000:2005 certifications. The company has also received the "Omani Quality Mark" from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Managed by experienced professionals, Majan Glass emphasizes the training and recruitment of Omani citizens, with 36% of their workforce being Omani.
