Saudi Industrial Investment Group Company is a Saudi joint stock company registered in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under commercial registration number 1010139946 dated 10 Shaban 1416 H (corresponding to 1 January 1996). SIIG is one of the first privately owned petrochemical companies in the country. It was founded with an initial capital of 550 million Saudi riyals, which has since grown to 754.8 million riyals through various capital increases and strategic acquisitions. The company leverages strategic partnerships with leading firms in the petrochemical sector to maximize the use of Saudi Arabia's natural resources and competitive advantages. SIIG owns 50% shares of both Saudi Chevron Phillips Company and Jubail Chevron Phillips Company. Each of them is a limited liability company and is registered under Saudi Law. The company also owns 100% of the National Petrochemical Company (Petrochem), a closed joint stock company. Saudi Chevron Phillips, a limited liability company located in Jubail Industrial City, with a capital of SAR 244 million, began production in 2000 by manufacturing Benzene, cyclohexene and aromatic hydrocarbon mixtures. Jubail Chevron Phillips, a limited liability company located in Jubail Industrial City, with a capital of SAR 483 million, began producing styrene and propylene during the second quarter of 2008. SIIG owns 100% of the National Petrochemical Company (Petrochem), which in turn owns 65% of the Saudi Polymer Company, a limited liability company, located in Jubail Industrial City, with a capital of SAR 1,406 million. This plant started in the fourth quarter of 2012 and produces ethylene, propylene, polyethylene, polypropylene and hexene.
