Takween Advanced Industries (previously known as Al-Othman Plastic Products - PLASTICO) is a Saudi joint stock company, established in 1993, and headquartered in Al-Khobar. In 2001, it transformed into Al Othman Plastic Products Company LLC. Then, in 2010, the company evolved into what we now know as Takween Advanced Industries. In 2012, Takween took a leap by going public. In 2021, the company disposed of 70% of its shares in SAAF to JOFO Nonwoven company. Recently, Takween announced its annual financial results for 2023, demonstrating its commitment to transparency and growth. Takween specializes in developing and applying polymer technology to create innovative product packs. Takween caters to the stringent requirements of the medical, food and beverage, and hygiene sectors. It is trusted both locally and internationally, and sets industry benchmarks for quality, safety, and hygiene standards. Some of the activities of Takween and its subsidiaries are: Owning of factories with various plastic products manufacturing together with maintaining, operating and managing; production of disposable polystyrene cups, lids and other plastic related products; production of non-woven fabrics, production of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) pre-forms; manufacturing of, and wholesale trading in plastic containers and films; manufacturing of, and wholesale and retail trading in plastic containers and polyethylene cups, rolls and bags; managing and operating of industrial centers, etc.
